Office Of The Dean
The Dean is the academic head of the Faculty, and works with a team of Associate Deans and Heads of Departments, who provide academic direction in conjunction with the Faculty General Manager, Faculty Program Managers and Departmental Managers.
The Dean is directly assisted in the leadership of the Faculty by six Associate Deans and the General Manager. The Associate Deans hold ex-officio membership to the Faculty Board, Faculty Executive Committee, Standing Committee of Heads of Departments as well as those committees specific to their areas of responsibility.

Mark Considine is a graduate of the University of Melbourne. His research areas include governance studies, comparative social policy, employment services, public sector reform, local development, and organisational sociology. Mark is an Australian Research Council Professorial Fellow and a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria) and the Australian Academy of Social Sciences. Mark's most recent book, Making Public Policy: Institutions, Actors, Strategies, was published by Polity Press in 2005. In 2000, Mark and co-author Jenny Lewis received the American Society for Public Administration's Marshall E. Dimmock Award for the best lead article in Public Administration Review. In 2001, Mark received the American Educational Research Association's Outstanding Publication Award for The Enterprise University: Power, Governance and Reinvention in Australia (Cambridge University Press, 2000). Mark has been associated with governments and the community sector in the implementation of a number of recent projects and organisational reviews. These include:
