About the Dean's List
The Dean's List recognises high achieving undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts. The top students who obtained an average mark greater than 80 per cent in the Arts component of their course at first, second or third year level are ranked for the Dean's List award. The Dean's List (Honours) is awarded to the top student in each of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) (Honours) and the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) years with an overall mark greater than 85 per cent. The Dean's list is compiled at the end of each year and presented in the first half of the following year. Students receive a certificate from the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at an annual presentation ceremony, and their achievement is recorded on their academic transcript.
The Faculty of Arts also administers more than 100 major scholarships, prizes, awards and bursaries. Made available through the generosity of bequests and corporate philanthropic interests, these are available to students enrolled in courses offered by the Faculty of Arts. They are awarded for academic excellence at each year level and in individual subjects, as nominated by Heads of Schools. Many scholarships, bursaries and prizes are also open to direct application from students in Arts.
