Supporting the Faculty of Arts
From its beginnings over 150 years ago, the Faculty of Arts has become a national leader in teaching and research in the humanities, social sciences and languages. The Faculty has also been involved in the development of many of Australia’s leading cultural and social institutions.
There is much that distinguishes the Faculty of Arts, such as our diverse range of students, vibrant learning community and research strengths. For example, did you know that:
- The Faculty of Arts has over 7,000 local and international students who study in more than 50 disciplines across the humanities, social sciences, languages and creative arts.
- We have over 1,000 Masters by Research and PhD students whose scholarly contributions advance our understanding of issues such as globalisation, cultural diversity, social values and the richness of Australian society.
Your support in the form of a donation or bequest will be of invaluable assistance to the Faculty in helping to maintain our continued research and teaching excellence.
Your gift can go towards:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships, bursaries and prizes
- Financial support and achievement awards to students
- Research in a nominated field
- Special library resources and cultural collections
- Teaching support, including endowed academic positions
- Visiting scholars and fellowships
- Public lectures and cultural events
- Construction, maintenance or refurbishment of Faculty buildings
