This online course has self-paced interactive activities to help you understand academic writing and enhance your own written work. Each student is assigned a moderator who gives feedback via email, to help you improve your writing skills.
Two streams of the course are offered, one for ESL students and one for students whose first language is English.
You have four weeks to complete the exercises. A certificate is available on completion of this course.
Date: You can start any time (you then have four weeks to complete the exercises)
Time : Any time of the day or night
Venue : Gate 2 of the Academic Interactive Resources portal (AIRport)
The Academic Skills Unit, in conjunction with the Arts & Music Student Centre, is offering a series of lunchtime Academic Skills seminars designed to support you in your studies. These seminars will run from Week 2 of the semester.
Seminars for Undergraduate students will run on Mondays from 1pm-2pm, and seminars for Undergraduate ESL students will run on Tuesdays from 1pm-2pm.
Topics include Effective Oral Presentation, Critical Thinking & Essay Writing, and Preparing for Exams. Places are limited so get in quick!
