Subject Selection & Course Planning
Changing subjects
Faculty of Arts courses will be open for re-enrolment and subject changes through the Student Portal at the start of each semester.
The usual subject variation period is the first two weeks of either semester (for standard semester-length subjects) and the first day of classes for intensive subjects.
Applications for Leave of Absence can be submitted online via the Student Portal . If you would like to discontinue your degree, please submit your request in writing or via email to the Arts and Music Student Centre.

Forms to apply for leave, discontinue, over-enrolment and over-loading can also be found at the Student Centre.
Step 1:
Go to the Course & Subject Catalogue to choose your subjects.
Step 2:
Log in to the Subject Selection module via Student Portal
You will need to use your email username and login. If you are having problems with your login please reset it on the Accounts page
Step 3:
Follow the Steps to Select or Change your enrolment.
Please note that it may be several days before you receive notice of the approval of your Subject Selection. You may assume your plan will be authorised by a Faculty Course Advisor, providing you have met all the prerequisites for the selected subject/s and are not exceeding 56.25 points per semester, and have enrolled according to study rules for your course.
