Graduate Certificates

A Graduate Certificate allows you to complete a comprehensive six-month course of study, choosing from more than 40 discipline areas. It is particularly useful if you are returning to tertiary study after time away from an academic environment.

Areas of study available

Duration

Full time (1 semester), part-time (up to 1 year).

Entry

First semester (March) and second semester (July).

Minimum entry requirements

Completion of a recognised Bachelors degree (or equivalent). Some programs may have additional requirements.

Course structure

Four semester-length subjects totalling 50 points (usually 4 x 12.5 points). In most cases the subjects available consist of those offered in the Bachelor of Arts for the particular area of study.

Further study

Successful completion of a Graduate Certificate may allow you to enrol in a Graduate Diploma, or Postgraduate Diploma or some Masters by Coursework programs.
