The Postgraduate Certificate is a short, coherent degree in a specialist area of study. The course may provide an entry point for further graduate study.

Areas of study available
Duration
Full time (6 months), part-time (up to 2 years).
Entry
First semester (March) and second semester (July).
Minimum entry requirements
Completion of a recognised Bachelors degree with a major (or equivalent) in the relevant area of study and a grade average equivalent to at least a H2B (70%) at the University of Melbourne in the major. Some areas of study will require a H2A (75%) average across the major. Additional requirements may apply.
Course structure
Four semester-length subjects totaling 50 points (usually 4 x 12.5 points) chosen from subjects in the discipline offered at 4th Year level or above.
Further study
Successful completion of a Postgraduate Certificate may lead to study at Postgraduate Diploma level. Some postgraduate certificates may qualify you for entry into a Masters by Coursework degree program with the possibility of obtaining credit points for relevant subjects.
