Introducing the Graduate School of Humanities & Social Sciences – Professor Mark Considine, Dean
In 2009 the Faculty of Arts created the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences to focus strength and commitment in all aspects of our post graduate teaching.
The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences is designed to deliver opportunities for intense intellectual engagement between students, leading teachers and industry leaders, programs of cutting-edge quality and world class outcomes and a unique physical environment where cohort-building and networking are fostered.
The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences experience will deliver:
- Professionally-focused, industry relevant skills
- Capacity to think and act with imagination informed by specialist knowledge
- New career direction enhanced by collaborative learning
- The skills to be effective and make a positive impact
- The ability to interpret and deal with real-world situations
The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences is a place of intellectual excitement and collegiality, where scholarship and innovation meet, and where ideas and theories are questioned and developed. Individual ability and creativity are fostered, and graduates are encouraged to be responsive to changing circumstances. Graduates become part of a dynamic global community of thinkers, scholars and leaders, which extends beyond graduation to an alumni network.
