Details
The Anna Lodewyckx Icelandic Scholarship is open to graduates or final year honours undergraduates of Australian Universities who have a knowledge of Old or Modern Icelandic.
A minor scholarship may be awarded towards costs associated with study in Iceland. The Scholarship requires that the candidate shall undertake to reside in Iceland and to attend an approved course at the University of Reykjavik, except when his or her field study necessitates research in the countryside

Eligibility
The Scholarship is open to:
- students who have been have a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in an Australian University or another relevant degree; and
- students who possess an elementary knowledge of a Scandinavian language.
- a recipient of a major scholarship who is willing to undertake an approved course at a Scandinavian University during one academic year
- a recipient of a minor scholarship who is willing to undertake an approved course at a Scandinavian University during one semester.
For the purposes of this regulation a Scandinavian country is Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or the Faroe Islands.
Applications
Appliants need to submit their application electronically and include:
- cover sheet with contact details, name/address/phone number/Email address
- Academic Record to date
- Proposed course of study
- State if they are a full or part time student
Note: Part-Time Students: The University is required to withhold tax from scholarship payments.
Submission of Documents by Successful candidate
The successful candidate must provide the Faculty of Arts with the following documents before payment is awarded:
- travel itinerary including departure and return dates
- confirmation of Departure and return flight booking
- confirmation of enrolment into institution of study
- completed 'Guideline Form for Off-Campus Travel and Work Policy' (35kb pdf) located at the Environmental Health and Safety web page.
- Confirmation of travel insurance

The judges' decision will be final and the University reserves the right not to award the prize in the event it is considered that no work of sufficient merit has been submitted.
