Details

The Lizette Bentwitch Scholarship is awarded biennially alternating between the Faculty of Music and the Faculty of Arts. The Scholarship is tenable for two years for study overseas and is open to candidates who have been awarded a Bachelors degree with Honours from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne. If in the first year of a biennial period in which the scholarship is open to to a Faculty if there are no worthy candidate the scholarship is to be open to competition in the second year of the biennial period among graduates of the same Faculty.

 

Information for Applicants

The Scholarship is awarded for study overseas and must be accepted within 12 months of date of being awarded. The value the scholarship will be determined after considering the applicant’s proposed program of study and estimate of travel and living expenses. If the dean of the relevant faculty recommends that the scholarship be awarded for one year, it must be awarded in the first instance for one year only and on the recommendation of the respective dean either renew the award to the same person for a second year or award the scholarship to an eligible graduate of the respective faculty for one year only.
