Faculty Seminar - Best Practice in Supervision

This Faculty seminar provides 'best practice' suggestions on postgraduate supervision. Topics covered include:

• time management of postgraduate supervision
• dispelling myths about supervision practices
• the pitfalls of over and under supervising
• what is involved for supervisors who are supervising outside their area of specialisation
• working with associate supervisors
• realistic expectations of postgraduate theses

Two members of academic staff, a currently enrolled Research Higher Degree candidate and the Manager (Arts Research) will compose a panel to address questions and concerns about supervision, following presentations by invited speakers.
